Your Membership Profile:
Get the most from yours!
As a member of the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, a membership profile has been set up for you. Along with the contact details and description of what you do, it allows you to showcase your business in dynamic and engaging ways. A fully-complete profile serves as a strong introduction to people wanting to do business with you, and strengthens your marketing piece for your business.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to the process of how to update your Chamber member profile.
Select ‘The Chamber’ from the navigation bar, then ‘Members Services’, and finally ‘Manage Your Membership’. When you arrive at the Manage Your Membership Login Screen, you’ll need to login with the email address on the account, and a password. If you don’t yet know your password, select the ‘Need a password’ option and follow the instructions. A temporary password will be sent to you, if the email address you use is the one assigned to the account. If it’s different, please contact us so we can add your email address to the member account.
We’re here to help, and if you want help completing or refining your membership profile, please call us at (303)666.5747 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The About, block includes your name, address, email address, phone number, web address, etc. Please note: the field “Name” should be your business name and “Contact person” should be the account holder name. If you need to add additional contacts, contact us and we’ll help! Once changes are complete, select “Save”.
Next to your ‘Business Card‘, where you should upload your logo, and include a tagline or motto of up to 80 characters. Note: Don’t put your name here, as that’s up in the About area. Instead, put a tagline, slogan or short phrase that is once again keyword-rich in order to help your search engine optimization. Once changes are complete, select “Save”.
Your Profile Gallery is the next stop, and it’s here that you can upload up to eight images/photos that highlight or depict your business. Once changes are complete, select “Save”.
Your Profile Description is designed to give people some short details about your business. Revise yours to say what you’d like to tell guests about your business. Leave out the fluff, and instead, choose appropriate keywords that would be used if someone were trying to locate your business through our Member Directory Search. You can include hyperlinks to your website, emphasize certain words, and apply other HTML to the text, using the editing bar.
Tip: The more clear and helpful your keywords, the better the search results for guests of the Chamber site. he ideal length of this area is one or two brief paragraphs that will help guests get an idea of what kind of business you have and encourage them to contact you. Once changes are complete, select “Save”.
Social Media links are next, and if you have social media channels, make sure you add them here. Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Yelp, YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram are the channels you can fill in, along with a link to the BBB, if you have an account there. As always, “Save” to keep your changes.
Finally, your Deal block is the last stop in your profile. It’s here that you list a special or offer you have guests of the Chamber website. You can upload a coupon, QR code coupon, or even a photo, plus include the details of what the Deal is called, and a description of what it entails.
