With the support of City of Louisville City Council and Staff, the Boulder Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is expanding its presence and services in the City of Louisville.  The Boulder SBDC has been serving Boulder County since 1994.  We provide confidential business assistance at no cost to small businesses.  The Boulder SBDC is a non-profit organization, partnering with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Governor’s Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT), the City of Boulder (our Host) and many others, now including the City of Louisville.  We are part of a larger network that includes 15 SBDCs in the State of Colorado and hundreds in the United States.

SBDC services include confidential one-on-one consulting, practical workshops and events (virtual and in-person) and connection to resources, including financing.  The Boulder SBDC has a network of roughly 50 business consultants, bringing high-caliber experience on a diverse range of business specializations.  Most of our consultants have been, or are, small business owners themselves and understand the unique challenges of operating an enterprise.  We understand that the small business owner cannot afford a staff or private contractors with expertise on every business topic.  We are here to help bridge that gap.  A typical consulting session begins as a Discovery meeting where we learn from the business what their issues are and align them with the correct consultant to get them the answers they need.  Our workshops and programs cover topics requested by our business owners, including all facets of marketing, sales, financial know-how and financing, to name a few.

The Boulder SBDC also provides services to entrepreneurs who are starting businesses.  We have extensive resources on business planning and can help the aspiring entrepreneur research the market, build an operational plan, seek financing and launch.  SBDC consultants will also remain abreast on programs and information related to the Marshall Fire.  We can help you navigate current programs and plan for your recovery.

Businesses can find out more about our services at our website and connect with us to receive consulting services by clicking the consulting services button at the top of our page and “request an initial appointment.”  Dan King will serve as the Lead Consultant for Louisville and can be reached at dan.king@bouldersbdc.com, or 303.588.1762.
